Montana was living under an elementary school trailer covered in mud and ticks in a nearby area. The principal of the school knew me from the dog park and brought me Montana one night because she is completely opposite in color than the dog I already had and thought I would love her. My dog fell in love with her and we took her home that night. She is named after the 49er quarter back Joe Montana, and she is the same color as a pigskin football. She is great with my cats, and great with other dogs. She is very loyal and great with kids. She actually loves to wear clothes and sleep under the covers. My favorite thing about my dog Montana is that she always comes to me when she does not feel good or something is wrong and I like that she trusts me to make everything better. Every night before we go to bed she brings me her favorite toy and then lays her head next to mine. Having a dog like that gives every morning a reason to wake up with a smile.
