Just as Ariel would rather have her Queendom be rid of big puppies, Magnus would close this box and ship Ariel far away if he could. . .
The other day, when I got out of the shower, I found Magnus lying on the ground in the front bedroom with his head tucked into the back corner. Just lying there. For quite a long time. I couldn’t figure out why he chose that place in particular, hiding his head. But it made me smile at the goofy pup.
Well, last night, while sitting on the couch with Raven, Cumin, Gumbo, MoMo, and Vidalia (yes, I felt loved), I watched an amazing interaction. Magnus encountered Ariel in the kitchen. She simply hissed at him. He opted to head into the living room. She followed, slowly, stalking him. Magnus kept looking back maintaining his slow pace forward. She kept following him, and he kept plodding forward. . . till there was no more "forward." Magnus had reached the corner created between the cat tower and the fireplace. So he laid down and tucked his head into bottom entrance to the cat tower. Just laid there quietly staring into the tower. Ariel, satisied, left. And poor Magnus just sat there with his head tucked in the cat tower. Didn’t budge for a few minutes. . . till I finally spoke his name. No violence, just true submission to the Queen.
